MasseyHacks is a high school hackathon where 150+ students of all skill levels gather to learn, create, and experience something amazing. Over this 24-hour event, you will find seasoned mentors to learn from, lively activities to take part in (Minecraft minigames and hackenger hunts are a must), and a plethora of workshops to discover! Complete with three main learning streams based on your hacking experience, MasseyHacks is a place to explore the world of computer science and technology.

New to programming and unsure where to start? Look no further—the Novice stream focuses on Python, a versatile and beginner-friendly programming language where you can learn basic game development using the Pygame module. Guided by experienced mentors, you’ll be on your way to developing your hack in no time!
Confident in the basics, but still looking to expand your skill-set? That’s great! The Intermediate stream introduces web development, and Kotlin, a Java-compatible and general-purpose programming language used primarily for development. Take what you learn and build on your skills to create something amazing!
So you know what you’re doing—awesome! The Advanced stream covers topics ranging from Linux administration, basic networking, and API usage to Firebase and Unity. Explore your interests and implement new technologies into your project for a chance to walk away with a category prize!
